Liquid eyeshadow, you’ve heard of it but have you tried it? Don’t worry that’s what I’m here for! I will break down all you need to know about liquid eyeshadow + how to apply it!
What is liquid eyeshadow?
Liquid eyeshadow is a type of eyeshadow in a liquid form that provides quicker and easier pigment! You’ve probably mistaken liquid eyeshadow bottles before for lipgloss, but it’s actually single swipe eyeshadow! One of the main factors that makes liquid eyeshadow so good is that it lasts all day and has little to no fallout!
You may have also seen them in dramatic eye looks, used as glitter. Liquid eyeshadows can also be matte but are commonly shimmery. I recommend liquid eyeshadow to those who want lots of pigment but don’t wanna spend lots of time to achieve that!
How do I apply liquid eyeshadow?
Liquid eyeshadows are fairly easy to use! It can be fully blended in seconds but dries very quickly so make sure to be quick to blend when you apply.
1. Apply a primer: Primer is what’s gonna make sure the liquid eyeshadow really sticks to your eyelids throughout the day! Wait a minute or two after you apply the primer.
2. Application: I like to do a dip and apply method, this is because it dried really quickly, and applying it all in one line is gonna result in looking streaky.
3. Dip and apply a small amount onto your lid, you can use a small fluffy brush to blend it too. Eventually, your whole lid will be covered.
4. You’re done, it’s really that simple!
Answering common questions about liquid eyeshadow!
Are cream eyeshadow and liquid eyeshadow the same thing?
There are two types of cream eyeshadow! This is why it can be confusing but the first type is where you find it in a small container and has a moisturized texture (not liquid). The second is an actual liquid eyeshadow, but matte! Cream eyeshadow is suited for drier skin and those looking for a subtle finish.
