Here are 5 need to know tips for your hair care routine, so let’s get into it! Don’t forget to check out my article about hair care products you need, if you don’t know where to start for your hair care!
1. Don’t Brush Your Hair When It’s Wet!
When I heard about this I was surprised, because before learning about this I would brush my hair when it was wet. But actually brushing your hair when it’s wet is really bad for your hair and here’s why. When your hair is wet it’s very fragile and weak and because of this your hair is more prone to breakage and snapping. Instead, brush your hair when it’s dry to prevent anything. Also, if you are going to wash your hair make sure to brush out all the knots before you get your hair wet!
2. Wash Your Conditioner Out With Cold Water
The reason why you should do this is because you are closing the pores and cuticles in the scalp. This is beneficial because it adds shine to your hair, and it also locks the moisture into your hair from the conditioner! This is best to do right before you get out of the shower!
3. Don’t Use Conditioner On Your Scalp
When you put conditioner on your scalp you are actually causing your roots to be oilier than they naturally are! Instead, condition your hair from the mid you the ends of your hair.
4. Trim Your Hair Regularly
Trimming your hair regularly is great because it helps with hair growth and it also removes split ends! The trim is also good because it removes hair damage, and that’s how your hair will grow faster! It’s recommend that you go in every 3 to 4 months to keep your hair healthy!
5. Use Deep Conditioners To Have Healthy Hair
I used to have damaged, dry, and brittle hair but then I started using hair conditioner every week for about eight weeks and my hair has completely changed! Now it’s soft and hydrated! Once your hair is healthy you can cut down how many times you use it and condition 2-4 times a month. I recommend the Shea Moisture deep condition, it smells amazing and the price is admirable for how well the product works!
In conclusion I hope this helped you, these are all tips that I have implemented to my hair care routine and I have seen a significant difference in my hair!
Till next time,
Ariana!
