I know we have seen on social media that girl, that looks like she has it all together and her life is perfect. At that point you might start to compare your life to that girl and question why you don’t have the life of that girl, I know I have. But I think in order to be that girl you need to have that kind of mindset, it shouldn’t be something only social media sees but it should also be something you feel every day! (But it’s also completely ok to have off days!)
There is no such thing as that girl because nobody’s life is always perfect! There are good days and there are also bad days, but on social media, we choose to share the good days rather than the bad ones. As I mentioned above in order to be that girl you need the mindset. I think it also starts with being able to go out of your comfort zone and trying new things to make yourself happy not just your followers or friends. Trying out new things and seeing what you like it also a big part of it! It won’t happen overnight but with time, you can. Also, when you think of this girl I don’t want you to think of the girl that you are comparing yourself to, being that girl is being an improved version of yourself it’s not trying to be someone else!
In this blog, I will be going over different self-care ideas and ways that can help you with becoming the improved version of yourself! It requires being able to work on yourself, and putting in the effort. I remember about a month or two ago for about a week I kind of had my life together, and it felt good. I worked out every day and went to bed early, it was very productive and I was really proud of myself, to be honest, but it’s hard to keep up. I was off of school for a week and during that week I challenged myself to put my life together.
After that week off I fell back into the cycle of going to bed late, and not working out every day. So it is hard but if make the time it can be done, I would say time management is the first step to being the improved version of yourself! It’s always been something I have struggled with and maybe you have too. Now thinking back on it, the school wasn’t the reason why I fell out of that cycle it was me not being able to manage my time and doing everything early. I would do my homework at midnight then the next day would be ruined because I was tired and because I was tired I wouldn’t be able to work out.
This week, I want you to challenge yourself every day to waking up early, working out, and maybe even eating healthy. If you are just beginning with working out don’t push youself to do a 1-hour workout, you won’t be able to keep up with the other days. I would suggest starting out with a 15-30 minute workout, then if you want to build up from there. It’s all about seeing what works best for you and your body. Instead of starting your homework at 11 or 12 start at 4 or 5 this way, you will have more free time every day after too, and you won’t be disrupting your sleep schedule. When you have this free time you can try out other things you have always wanted to do, maybe trying out that new recipe or putting on a new face mask.
Find what works best for you, and use that to work with your schedule. Eating healthy is another great thing you should also try out, healthy foods and fruits will help you will feel more energized and healthy. Maybe spice up your meals by home cooking some delicious meals, I am vegan so I will have some vegan and vegetarian recipes linked below that you can try out! Some apps I recommend for helping you out with keeping track of this:
- Tide, is a great app for when you have to do school work, there is a tomato timer and it can also play calm music! I have the free version, and it’s really good, you can also get the chrome extension.
- Motivation, this app is really good! It will give you motivational quotes throughout the day, you can set it to every hour or every two hours, there are a lot of modes!
- Microsoft To-Do: Ok, I literally love this app it’s amazing! It’s way better than the apple to-do app, this one has notes that you can add to what you have to do along with files, and there is also a MacBook app for it, which has been so helpful! This app is also completely free which is amazing.
Giving yourself a routine can actually be very beneficial and help you if you are struggling with being productive! I hope this blog post helped you a bit with realizing how to be the improved version of yourself, because it’s not all about what people see, it’s also about what you feel about yourself! On Friday I am going to be posting a blog post for a good morning routine, thank you for reading and I hope you have a good rest of your day!
