I know that we have all heard of the facial steamer, but you’ve probably wondered what does it do? Well, this blog post will help you with exactly that! I am going to be going over all you need to know plus a review on the one I have.
What does a facial steamer do?
A facial steamer has tons of benefits:
- It can open up your pores, one of the advantages of using this is if you have blackheads. Since it loosens up your pores blackheads are easier to remove! The one I use comes with tools in order to remove them, which is helpful.
- It promotes circulation in your skin, as a result you will get a beautiful and natural glow!
- This can also help your skin with absorbing your skincare products better! Such as creams, serums, etc.
- Facial steaming is also hydrating for your skin! This is because it helps increase oil production, which is naturally moisturizing your skin.
- It’s soothing, when you steam your face it feels really relaxing!
Did It Work For you?
For me, it did. I bought one off of Amazon, and the reviews were really good so I decided to give it a go! When I was steaming my face it was very hot, which means it’s working. I recommend keeping a glass of water by you in case you get hot. I loved the results too, I used the Origins Glo Co Nuts after using the facial steamer! Here is my review for the Origins-Glo-Co-Nuts face mask! My skin was so soft and glowing, I also have sensitive skin and I didn’t break out when I used this one!
Additional Things To Know:
Make sure that before you do the facial steam that you have washed your face and removed any makeup. Using a gentle cleanser is perfect.
When you are steaming your face mask sure you keep your eyes closed.
Keep your face 6-10 inches away, you can get burned if you go to close so it’s safer to stay back.
Make sure that you also follow the instruction pamphlet that the steamer comes with!
Use the facial steamer for 6-10 minutes, but make sure it’s no more than that. It can be irritating if you have skin issues or acne, if it’s longer than 10 minutes.
Risks of a facial steamer:
if you have rosacea then you might want to skip doing this. This is because the heat will dilate your blood vessels and as a result, it can cause redness.
If you have eczema or very dry skin, use extra caution. Only use the facial steamer for a few minutes so that you can avoid irritation.
